
LIVERPOOL, NY — The Fayetteville-Manlius rowing program brought home three gold medals at the 2026 NYS Central Region Championship Regatta on Saturday, May 2, competing against area scholastic programs on Onondaga Lake.
Gold: Girls 2nd Varsity 8+ — 1st, 6:27.1
The Girls 2V/Junior 8+ crossed first in their Grand Final ahead of SyraCrew and Baldwinsville. Stroked by Abby Richards and coxed by Maggie Lindars, the boat was powered by Amelia Worthan, Lila Mittelstaedt, Alexa Duda, Jess Beasley, Surin Bong, Chloe Knutsen, and Sarah Dotger.

Gold: Boys Senior 4+ — 1st, 5:28.6
The Boys Varsity 4+ took gold over Liverpool in a two-boat final. Nicholas Graff, who battled through illness on race day to compete, set the tone with toughness in stroke seat, with John Vanbramer, Arthur Souza, and Benjamin Graff in bow. Coxswain Aiden Glade coxed the boat to victory.

The boys' junior four added a second gold for FM's fours on the day, edging the CHARGERS Rowing Club for the win. Landon Grandmain stroked, with Ben Prendergast, Jack Prendergast, and Alex Domaszczyski in bow, coxed by Kye Culican. This is the same crew that earned silver at Saratoga just a week prior.

FM also picked up silvers in the Boys Senior 8+ and Boys 2V/Junior 8+, and a bronze in the Girls Junior 8+. Next up: the two-day NYS Championships next weekend in Saratoga with a change to qualify for the SRAA National Champtionships in Oak Ridge, TN.
